Lion Hearted Girl

Ireland is 28 degrees (that's 82.4 degrees for those who work in Farhrenheit)??? What is actually going on?! It's genuinely excellent though, the shorts are out, the sunnies are on and i love. it.
Been basically going to the park every day and avoiding revision.
From Saturday:

"Bartok is Bore-tok"

So this week i made up a song about muted violin glissandi. Or to put it more simply, I went completely crazy. 5 A Levels in 5 days is not good for my mental health!

As you may have guessed, due to the intense number of exams this week i've been a little lacking in social action, however here's a wee outfit from when i went out to dinner last Friday:

- cream lace dress, worn as top
- skirt from primark years ago
- all saints boots
- wee accessorize hairband as necklace
- and yes, yes that is a winter coat in spring - it was absolutely lashing down! - this is Ireland after all

Oh yes, and the title is a referance to the 20th Century composer Bartok - the absolute bane of my existance this week!

Class of 2009

Well it's officially over. I have finished school forever, never to return... except for the mildly important exams that are pending.
School last week was a tad dramatic. Without going into great detail our year managed to take the expected pranks and blow them right out of the water - and not entirely in a good way. When we drove in on Tuesday we were greeted with "WILLY" written across the grass bank, "BUS WANKERS" at the bus stop (which is actually hilarious for anyone who watches The Inbetweeners), and various anatomy drawn all over the school walls - charming. More witty pranks included painting the nurse's mobile purple and green - excellent!

Thursday was our last ever day in school! We basically just had parties and got our shirts signed all day:

Thursday night brought our leavers mass. I cried right from the opening song, to the Head Boy's speech. And my friend singing Coldplay's "The Scientist" didn't help the mascara stay dry either!
We all went out for the leavers do after, excellent night!

Unfortunately there's no great photos of my outfit, i will put them up some time (when i'm not revising for exams) but you can get a little sense of it in these photos:

The most hilarious teacher made an appearance - a constant source of entertainment over the past 7 years, from calling our class 'sheep' to letting a cat in our classroom.

Was wearing a dress from Liberty Blue, a boutique in Belfast,
killer heels from office
and topshop earring
- the tie isn't mine, some boy put it on me mid-way through the night, but it matched perfectly!

E is for Easter!

And what an excellent one it has been. Haven't been on here in aages.
The day after school finished, my boyfriend and i went up to his apartment in Donegal. It's gorgeous up there:

The next day we were joined by our friends... drinking games happened... it was all a bit hilarious - see below:

Anyhow, went out for dinner last night, and it was truly excellent.
Wore this:

Yes i am aware that it is navy blue and black, but it looked better in person.
My bored face is a bit unforgiveable though. Ah well.
Jacket is prestige business fashions from urban renewal;
the top is a dress i got years ago and have no recollection of where;
boots are primark

Feelin' green

For those reading outside the realm of rugby (have to be honest, i'm not inside it most of the time, but I can't resist a special occasion for the boys in green), Ireland won the Grand Slam yesterday! First time in 61 years. Amazzing. Seriously great game.
Anyhow, continuing the Irish theme, it was St. Paddy's day on Tuesday. Good times. There was a bit of crazyness in the city, a wee bit nuts (eg. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7949145.stm ) , but generally good. Obviously, it's necessary to dress in green so i wore this:

apple green skirt, do not underestimate the comfort of this;
all saints boots, good for running riot in;
grey hoodie, it got chilly;
necklace is actually a hairband, i think its from accesorize?;
river island knit top!

On another note: Happy Mother's Day!

In the red

Stresssed out week. We had A level modules in January and received the results on Thursday past. My results were good, and i would have been ecstatic if had not found out a week earlier that i actually need an A in Biology to go to my first choice of uni. So basically our entire year went out that night to celebrate/ drown our sorrows.
I wore this:

ny tee, my friend got for me in New York (shocking)
firetrap skirt
wee school socks
primark shoes!

It ended up being an absolutely hilaarious night, culminating in my friend yelling at the chip shop "WHY?! WHYYY aren't you open???!" at 2.30am - we proceeded to go to the one next door instead!
Was suffering the next day, but so was everone, so our teachers didn't really make us do any work.

Lent, Being busy, and oh... Je T'aime

Been ridiculously busy lately. Back at school - 3 months of school left ever, so plenty of work to be done, and i'm figuring it'll be worth putting a bit of effort in for the last stretch.
So this is an outfit from a few fridays ago. I went to see my friend who was the leading lady in the musical "Crazy For You". She was fabulous - I felt an ounce of pride!

Wearing: all saints boots, black leggings, je t'aime tshirt - topshop, uo scarf, and kate moss jacket from forever ago.

On another note, it's lent! I'm off all things tempting ie. sweets, crisps, cake, chocolate, and my biggest vice - pizza. I realised at the weekend that the important part of all this is to do it without complaining. So far so good!
I'm also making an effort to stay out of people's bitchy conversations - i hadn't quite realised how frequent they were until I tried to restrict myself.

What is everyone else doing for lent?
